Wow - I've been looking for this since I also had it (in 1971) - anyone know where I can but this either on a download or CD? Please email to markwmcgrath@yahoo.com if you have a lead...thanks!
I made a (rather poor) copy of this to cassette in 1974 and have been looking for real copy of it ever since. I was really pleased to find this for download, and even more surprised to find it in such a high quality copy. Many, many thanks.
THANK YOU!!! I bought this album in new in 71 and played it until until I wore it out. I still have it, but due to the wear, it is painful to listen to. It is wonderful to be able to hear it again as it once was.
I am curious as to what hardware/software you used to capture such an excellent recording.
WOW, I was playing one of the two wornout copies that I have and "Googled"to find a CD. Many, Many thanks. A lot of band were friends of ours and miss those who have passed. Oh, the "high" trumpet was Paul Hubinon on many cuts. He and Chuck Findley had very similar tonal sound. Thanks again....
thank you, thank you, thank you! like other people here I first went looking for this on cd (no such luck, maybe someday, who knows). but this is a wonderful substitute, it's so fantastic hearing this again. I met Jack a few times in the 70's and he was always such a nice man. and this LP shows that he was also quite a formidable talent.
I am so glad you posted this for downloading. I have a copy of the original but bascially wore it out back in the day. Great album with so many talented musicians. Thank You!
I want to meet everyone who has been searching for this album. We all have fabulous taste in music. And who dropped it in our laps??? And how did you do it? I love you, whoever you are. This brings back so many memories..I don't know what to do with all this nostalgia.
Tried to download this fabulous album but the link no longer seems to work. Does anyone have the file and can post here? very much appreciated...cheers Norm
A boyfriend made a cassette copy of this amazing album for me - way back when. Now the thing is all dried up. I've been searching for this recording for years. Today I thought I'd finally found it - but like Norm, I'm really bummed out to find that the link is gone. Ahhhhhhhh.... There is a track on Youtube of "Number Nine". Just listening to that made me feel great. Norm, if you find a copy of it somewhere out there, pls post a msg on this site. Nancy in Reno
Will do Nancy. I equally thought I hit bthe jackpot when I saw this. Hopefully someone who has downloaded it will be sympathetic to the cause on this awesome album...Norm in Prince George
Put me on that list too! What an IDIOT i was to lend this LP to some girl back in high school! BUT, i have it on a cassette; scratches, pops and all. Just listened to it, wow , Theme for Susan, so sweet....if anyone has this album or the CD, please, drop me a line. I actually contacted Chuck Findley a couple of years ago to see if maybe, just maybe he had an extra copy lying around. no such luck; great player, great guy! therealmeisback@yahoo.com
I had this LP back in the day and when I converted to CD's, it was one of the great missing albums not to make it back into my collection. The download here is no longer available and a quick search on bit torrent didn't help. Anyone know where to access a digital copy now?
On this blog I am going to post only out of print vynil albums. I do not host the files on this site. This site is for educational purposes only. If you are the owner of the copyright on any of these albums you can ask to have the links removed, just leave a comment. If you know about a re-issue of one of the posted albums let me know, so that I can remove the download link.
Please buy music and support the artists! Latley I am buying a lot of MP3s on emusic. They have a great catalouge, check it out.
Holy mother of God.
